This past week we have heard from descendants of Florence Estelle Lynes Jackson. She was a daughter of Samuel Lynes and Cathren Dennis.  We are making new connections with them, including discovering that Gail, the granddaughter of Estelle, (2nd cousin to me) married a Simms of Foxbank descent.  Her husband's father is Edward Warren Simms, son of Warren who is seen on the bottom of our home page (with the straw boater).  Brian looks just like his GG Grandfather!  So two new connections back to Foxbank this week in the same family!

Sad news is that Florence Simms Marlow, widow of Edward Simms as mentioned above, died this past Wednesday at age 96.  Justin and I (Jack) are going down for the funeral in the morning and look forward to meeting all the family!   Then, it's on to Canton GA from there to attend my sister Julie's son's wedding reception.  But this evening, Mary Ann and I head to Columbia to play with our grandsons Alex and Ben.  It's going to be a busy weekend!

 

We hope to have new pics to put up soon from the Jackson/Wilson/Simms side of the family, and some stories to tell.
